Article 57
Distribution of state power

(1) The rights of the Association shall be vested in the matters mentioned in Schedule-5 and the exercise of such rights shall be in accordance with this Constitution and the Federal Law.
(2) The right of the province shall be vested in the matter mentioned in schedule-6 and the exercise of such right shall be in accordance with this constitution and the law of the province.
(3) The common rights of the Union and the Provinces shall be vested in the matters mentioned in Schedule-7 and the exercise of such rights shall be in accordance with this Constitution, federal laws and provincial laws.
(4) The authority of the local level shall be vested in the matters mentioned in Schedule-8 and the exercise of such authority shall be in accordance with this constitution and the law made by the village assembly or city assembly.
(5) The common rights of the union, state and local level shall be vested in the matters mentioned in schedule-9 and the exercise of such rights shall be in accordance with this constitution and federal laws, state laws and laws made by the village assembly or city assembly.
(6) According to sub-section (3) or (5), when a provincial assembly, village assembly or city assembly makes a law, it shall be made in such a way that it does not conflict with the federal law, and if such law made by the provincial assembly, village assembly or city assembly is in conflict with the federal law, it shall be valid to the extent of the conflict.
(7) According to sub-section (5), when the village assembly or town assembly makes a law, it shall be made in such a way that it does not conflict with the provincial law, and if such law made by the village assembly or town assembly is in conflict with the provincial law, it shall be valid to the extent of the conflict.
